Ariton Baptist Church is heavily involved in missions work. As a Southern Baptist church, we give to the SBC Cooperative Program which funds ministry efforts in Alabama, North America, and throughout the world. 8% of the church budget goes to CP and 2% goes to the Dale Baptist Association ministries.
In a addition to the above, ABC is also involved in several local mission effort. We provide weekly food bags to children in need at Ariton School through the Backpack Blessing program. We also pack and hand out monthly food gifts to needy elderly members of the community through the Wiregrass Food Bank’s Brown Bag program. ABC also helps with special needs of Ariton School children such as field trip fees, sports equipment and dual enrollment dues.
ABC also helps to support the Nejapa Baptist Church in El Salvador. With fundraisers and donations, ABC helps support Nejapa’s mission and evangelism ministries. In June of each year, a team from ABC takes a mission trip to El Salvador to help and experience first hand the joy of mission work.
